Help us expand our beautiful park and save more memorials. We have currently restored honor to three North Carolina Memorials and added three new memorials to the park. We have built the Gen. William Lee Davidson Veterans Wall, The POW/MIA Monument, and the Cross Brothers Memorial at Valor. We are going to install a large tablet memorial to the American Revolutionary War solders in 2026. We have secured from the Sons of Spanish American War Veterans a memorial that was in Asheville NC. We plan on placing it and a flag for them on the future expansion.
We have dismantled a pioneer cabin from the area, We will be rebuilding it on the expanded area and telling the story of hardships and growth of the pioneers here in our area.
The park will be built on a walking trail that will tell a story of our history, Veterans, and wars they fought in. A bridge will connect the two sides. the bridge will be built over Lick Creek. There will be parking on both sides. This project will take a couple years, we are excited to begin.
You have the opportunity to help. We will have four covered shelters and playground to dedicate for larger donations. We will also have signs along the inside of the park to advertise for businesses.
